Coaching Skills
Driving Instructors are increasingly using Coaching Techniques rather than traditional ‘Instructional’ methods.
The DSA are looking for a more ‘Client Centred Approach’ and they are planning to alter the check test marking scheme, probably in 2014 to reflect this.
Are you up to date with these teaching / coaching methods?
Are other instructors able to deliver a lesson experience that you can’t?
What do you know about, or how well can you apply the following techniques?
The GROW Model
The 1 - 10 Scale
Storytelling
Feedback
Rewards
Visualisation
Role Reversal
Coaching Conversations
Effective Q & A
5 Levels of Listening
6 Thinking Hats
Mind Mapping
We can help you to understand and apply these teaching / coaching techniques, whether you are starting from scratch, and don’t know anything about them, or maybe you have read about them, or attended a theoretical course, but need help to apply new techniques in the car.
All of our training is on a one to one basis, and is tailored to your exact needs
